Solid Neck

Description

One of the biggest weaknesses of the 30MS kits from the start was the soft plastic of the neck joint. Even while handling them gently, I’ve had to glue the necks for my Rishetta and Luluce back together multiple times. This serves as a good stand-in for necks past their prime, or if you’re simply wanting to prevent things from getting that far. Not yet available in Luluce’s skin color.

Simply slide on your collar of choice from top or bottom, and pop the shorter end into the torso, while the head goes onto the other end. The cross-section of the neck is slightly elliptical, so there should be no gap between the neck and the collar.

3D printed support nubs are left on the part(s) for you to remove. They can be easily shaved off with a hobby knife or sanded down as you feel is appropriate. Take care when fitting parts together and sand surfaces down if necessary. If choosing to paint non-transparent parts, primer is recommended to ensure good paint adhesion. Please ensure proper ventilation when sanding and painting.
